glad we took that walk

8 years ago (plus a day) Chris and i took that railroad walk (staying up way too late and literally walking miles).

i got to wear his stocking hat and we were both dressed in hoodies and jeans.

we effortlessly talked for hours.

it was beautiful (and a little chilly) fall nighttime weather.

we got back, sat on the CCH couches, and knew we needed to do some more talking.

there was something happening.

i wanted time to think.

i wanted to wait til the following day, the 26th.

we sat on the porch swing and talked that next afternoon.

it was then that we decided to start dating.

i think we were both kind of giddy, at least i know i was.

and that's how it all started.

i'm glad we took that walk that night before.

the best excuse i've ever had to lose some sleep.

i can't imagine life without this guy.

One year and counting

As of yesterday, we've officially been the owners of our house!  We love the fact that we live in this house and we really enjoy our neighborhood (although we still don't know many neighbors). 

This year has gone by so fast.  I can't believe it's been that long since we had to say goodbye to our friends in Lafayette!

Here's to many more years of making memories in this house :)
