I wanted to do a recap of last year with pictures. So here it is...a month late :)
The beginning of the year was all about training for our mini marathons. I had a twisted ankle from running.
Chris raced in the Polar Bear in Indy to get his seed time for the mini
We had a fair amount of spring flowers and I enjoyed taking pictures of them all.
We went to the Purdue black/gold game
Chris' family came to our house for Easter weekend and the Poston's came for Easter lunch.
Our pastor from LCC and several of our band members played for the National Day of Prayer in Lafayette.
Chris and I did awesome and had a lot of fun running in the Indianapolis Mini Marathon.
We got another 1/4 cow worth of beef to put in our freezer.
Chris was so sweet and bought me tulips...just because.
I helped plan a fashion show which benefited PEERS (a teen abstinence program). Chris showed off his modeling talent by helping out and being a model in the fashion show.
We went to the infamous Indy 500 with Rachelle thanks to Chris' dad getting us tickets.
Chris and I went out to play frisbee golf at a course in Lafayette.
We took an awesome vacation to West Virginia to go whitewater rafting on the New River, which is home to the largest arch bridge in the western hemisphere (the New River Gorge Bridge).
We also stopped in Cincinnati on the way home to go to King's Island and enjoy some time downtown.
Our church (Lafayette Community Church) moved to our own building!
...But we had some remodeling to do first. I helped coordinate all of the work that needed to be done.
Chris and I took Kaitlyn away for the weekend to go to Cincinnati. We went to a Braves/Reds game and went to King's Island.
After hearing for a few months that we would be moving, we finally got the official word and put our house on the market.
In September, LCC had the grand opening at the new location.
We went to our first Purdue football game with a bunch of our friends (my first Purdue game, but not Chris').
I went to Missouri for the weekend for Jason's (my cousin) wedding and also attend the East Perry county fair.
(picture to come once I find the CD that they're on!)
We went house hunting in Peoria, IL (where we were moving back to) and found a house that we love!
We completed a fair number of projects before we moved in.
We enjoyed the last couple weeks that we had in Lafayette between closing on our house in Peoria and when we would actually move. (One of our favorite places in W. Laf.)
Our friends surprised us and took us out to a Japanese restaurant for our last dinner together.
Chris and I enjoyed our last night in Lafayette and had dinner at Chumley's.
All of our belongings were packed on to a truck to move us back to Illinois!
We had a new fence installed for Maggie around our backyard at our new house.
We've had fun getting back together with old friends since we've moved.
Chris took a trip overseas right before Thanksgiving and got to spend the weekend in Prague.
We had my family at our house for Thanksgiving.
Then we all went to St. Louis to celebrate Christmas on the day after Thanksgiving.
The women from our small group and I threw a baby shower for our friend, Kim. And we had the shower at our house - the first party in our new house!
We ended out the year by travelling all the way around the world to spend Christmas in India with Chris' family. It was the trip of a lifetime.
2010 was a wonderful year. It was full of good memories and a few big changes. I look forward to everything that 2011 will bring to us!
